education) classes:
South Dakota State Requirements
Continuing Education Hours
South Dakota regulation requires that all resident agents holding a Life/Health OR Property/Casualty license complete 10 CE hours to retain active license status. Life/Health AND Property/Casualty agents must complete 20 CE hours.
Continuing Education Compliance Date
CE hours are due by April 30 of every year.
Types of courses accepted for CE Credit
• Self-study
• Classroom study
• On line courses.
Course Subject Requirements
•No specific course requirements.
Carryover Requirements
Carryover of excess CE credit hours is NOT allowed.
Final Exam
Self-study courses must have a completion exam.
Course Repetition
Courses may not be repeated.
