Maine State Requirements
Continuing Education Hours
Maine requires that all resident agents complete 15 or 30 hours of CE every year to maintain active license status. Agents licensed for more than two years must complete 30 hours. Agents who have been licensed less than two years are required to complete 15 hours. Agents licensed for less than one year have no CE requirement.
Continuing Education Compliance Date
The next renewal date is October 1, 2006 for all licensed resident producers.
Types of courses accepted for CE Credit
• Self-study
• Classroom study
• On line courses.
Carryover Requirements
Carryover of excess CE credit hours is NOT allowed.
Final Exam
Self-study final exams DO NOT require monitoring.
Course Repetition
No course repetition is allowed.
