Kansas Insurance Pre-Licensing Exam Preparation

The 30-hour, self-paced online courses feature interactive learning aids that enhance user understanding of key concepts and improve knowledge retention. A comprehensive exam prep and simulation containing hundreds of questions with remediation and feedback are also included in all courses.

The Life and Health insurance pre-licensing course surveys life, accident and health insurance principles and concepts common to all state producer licensing exams, giving students relevant information about health, accident and disability insurance, contract law, health insurance providers, health insurance policies, government programs, private insurance plans for seniors, underwriting and premiums, group health insurance and the uses of health insurance.

The Property and Casualty course surveys property and casualty insurance principles and concepts common to all state producer licensing exams, giving students relevant information about industry regulation, underwriting, property insurance, personal lines, commercial lines, inland marine, commercial floaters and federal programs, crime insurance and bonds, and workers' compensation.

Insurance Pre-licensing courses are intended for licensing examination preparation only. No pre-licensing course credit will be granted for completion.

NO   COURSE CREDIT WILL BE GRANTED UNLESS A MONITOR IS PRESENT DURING THE FINAL EXAM,   AND AN AFFIDAVIT OF COURSE COMPLETION IS COMPLETED!

Kansas State Requirements

Continuing Education Credits are due every 2 years by your birthday based on your birth year even or odd. A credit is equal to one "clock hour." A "clock hour" in Kansas is 50 minutes.

Note: the number of credit hours for a self-study is established by the Kansas Insurance Department. If a self-study course (which includes on-line courses) is used the agent must pass an examination to receive credit.

IMPORTANT! THE EXAM MUST BE MONITORED BY A DISINTERESTED THIRD PARTY! A DISINTERESTED PARTY IS SOMEONE OTHER THEN A RELATIVE OR CO-WORKER. THE INDIVIDUAL WHO MONITORS THE EXAM MUST SIGN AN AFFIDAVIT THAT THE TEST WAS CLOSED BOOK AND THAT THE AGENT SEEKING CREDIT ACTUALLY TOOK THE TEST WITH OUT HELP.

Required Credits Crop only license: 2 from a crop insurance course only. Pre-arraigned funeral programs: 2 from a Life & Health course only. Title insurance: 4 from a Title Course only. Life and/or Health license: 12 with at least 1 from an ethics class. Can take any combination of Life & Health (LH), General Education (GE) or Ethics (ET) CE course. Can also use up to 3 General Management (GM) credits. Property and/or Casualty license: 12 with at least 1 from an ethics class. Can take any combination of Property & Casualty (PC), General Education (GE) or Ethics (ET) CE course. Can also use up to 3 General Management (GM) credits. Laws only (Bail-Bonds license): same as Property & Casualty.

* Do not submit Course Certificates (KCE-4) until all required hours are completed. *

A completed KCE-5 form must also be submitted along with the Course Certificates.

NOTE: Resident agents must also submit evidence Errors & Omissions Insurance with their CE credits.
