We offer the following certified Colorado Insurance CE (continuing
education) classes:
Colorado State Requirements
Continuing Education Hours
Twenty-four (24) CE credit hours are required biennially to renew a license.
Continuing Education Compliance Date:
Same as license renewal date
License Renewal Date
For producers who renewed on 1/1/03, the new renewal (continuation) date will be the last day of their birth month beginning in 2004 and every two years thereafter.
For producers who renew on 1/1/04, the new renewal (continuation) date will be the last day of their birth month beginning in 2005 and every two years thereafter. THESE PRODUCERS WILL STILL NEED TO RENEW 1/1/04.

Independent self-study courses or classroom
Course Subject Requirements
• At least 18 of the required 24 CE hours required must cover the lines of insurance for which the producer is licensed; 3 of the 24 hour requirement must be Ethics related.
• There is a two hour LTC education requirement for producers who wish to sell LTC products. This one time requirement will count towards the requirement of the basic CE requirement.
Carryover Requirements
No carryover of Continuing Education credits is allowed.
Course Repetition
No repetition of CE courses is allowed.
Exemptions
• Any person licensed less than two years at the time of the first license renewal.
• Any person licensed only for one or more of the following: Professional Bail Bondsperson, Title, Credit, Crop Hail, Health Maintenance Organization, Limited Insurance Representative/Travel Ticket and Nonprofit Hospital Service Corporation
